Choosing Espresso Equipment

Before you choose your espresso machine, choose your service company

Your Service Company: The most important, but commonly overlooked feature in purchasing an espresso machine is choosing the right service company for you. Unlike commercial coffee brewers, the company (distributor) you purchase your espresso machine from will also act as your service provider.

Your Equipment Warranty: No other company is obligated to honor the warranty contract you have in place for your machine. If you have warranty issues the company you purchase your machine from will be the company to respond and repair your equipment.

Your Service Contract: Your equipment distributor may purchase a service contract on your behalf with a local service company in your area. This local service company will then:

  • Act as your warranty and service provider
  • Stock parts critical to your machine
  • May offer you discounted pricing on future parts and services.

The following are some additional matters to consider when choosing your espresso equipment.

24/7 Service

Statistically speaking, if your business is open seven days a week, you have approximately a 29% chance that your machine will fail on a weekend.

Don't take chances, before selecting your service company give them a call! Not on Wednesday at noon, we were thinking more like Saturday afternoon at about five p.m.

Don't assume that because they say they will be there, actually means they will be there when you need them.

Locally operated Inland Coffee and Beverage will be there when you need us.

Parting Words

Once you purchase your equipment rest assured the vital parts you will need to maintain and operate your equipment will be readily available in our warehouse at preferred pricing.*

Lastly, all of our equipment manufacturers have at least one main importer for the United States and we do not carry exclusive distribution rights. This means that for whatever reason you move to a different service area, your new service provider may contact your equipment importer directly and not have to call from distributor to distributor hoping to find significant parts for your equipment.

* Preferred or discounted pricing for gold and platinum policyholders only

Your Shrinking Budget

You're in the espresso business, you're depending on your machine to consistently produce a quality product and you want to be economical.

We believe that a good shot of espresso is dependent on three things

  • the beans
  • the barista
  • the brewing unit

That brings us to the Epoca by Rancilio.

  • Economically priced with the same components and functionality of higher priced equipment.
  • It may be one of the most economical machines you'll find, but it shows off like a true competitor with some impressive steaming power and quick recovery time.

Manufacturers & Importers

Our Selection
We were very selective in the espresso equipment we decided to carry.

We are a service company, exclusive to the coffee industry. We had to choose equipment that met or exceeded our own standards of excellence.

Frankly, the Inland Northwest Eastern region is too large to sell and service equipment that reflected any type of persistent problem and especially when we had to cover the warranty.

  • We chose dependable machines with quality components.

  • We took into consideration ease of repair.

Some machines are just frustrating to repair. They can be time consuming and costly. Some of our friends have them and wish they didnt. We passed on them even though they looked great at first glance.

Our importers
We also wanted to work with companies that generally enjoyed what they did. Our importers always seem happy to hear from us, not just when we are purchasing new equipment. We found their warranties more inclusive, and parts were available when we ordered them.
